Ascot Care's Charity Golf Day 2024 raises £10,392 for the Bradley Lowery Foundation

Ascot Care is delighted to announce the success of our annual Charity Golf Day, which took place on Friday, 26th July 2024, at Close House Golf Course in Heddon on the Wall.

As part of our commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, Ascot Care held its annual Charity Golf Day on a pleasant summer day filled with sportsmanship and camaraderie that saw us raise a total of £10,392 for the Bradley Lowery Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping children and families affected by cancer and other serious illnesses.

The 17 teams that joined us had the chance to engage in friendly competition for golf-related prizes, including clubs, bags and accesory sets. The winners of the day were:

  • 1st Place: Team Freeman Butchers

  • 2nd Place: Team Linear

  • 3rd Place: Team Apex

  • Nearest to Pin: Steve Mitchel

  • Longest Drive 3rd Hole: Carl Thompson

  • Longest Drive 14th Hole: Craig McKenzie

  • Yellow Ball Winner: Kris Allington of Team AON

After the games, attendees enjoyed an elevated BBQ at the Club House, which featured further raffles and auction prizes including golf accessories, a variety of spirit bottles, and memorabilia signed by Lee Westwood at Close House, the Falcons Rugby Club and the Sunderland Football Club.

In brief speeches at the close of the event, Gareth Nesbit, Ascot Care Director, and Gemma Lowery, Founder and CEO of the Bradley Lowery Foundation, expressed their gratitude for the support and generosity shown throughout the day.

Ascot Care is proud to continue supporting the Bradley Lowery Foundation. We thank all participants, sponsors, and staff who helped make this event a remarkable success and contributed to this worthy cause.

We look forward to seeing you again next year!
