Our Impact Report
Our Impact Report provides an in-depth look at our achievements, initiatives, and progress over the past year. Highlighting the steps we’ve taken to enhance the lives of our residents, support our staff, and strengthen our ties with local communities across the North East.
How we engage with the community
Our mission is to support our residents to enjoy the best possible quality of life in their later years, through compassionate, professional, and personalised care.
Nowadays, people in the UK are living longer however, as we age many of us will face health conditions that may affect our independence and wellbeing in later life, reducing our overall quality of life.
This challenges Ascot Care’s long-term mission. For this reason, in 2024 we developed a new Community Engagement Strategy that aligns our commitment to support our neighbouring communities with our business objectives and mission, in three core priorities:
Promoting mental wellbeing
We work alongside charities and volunteer groups to combat social isolation and promote mental wellness.
This involves taking residents on local outings, hosting community events at our care homes, and referring our neighbours to specialist support where needed.
We aim to promote a sense of belonging amongst our communities, within and outside our care homes.
Encouraging healthy living at all ages
We believe that being physically healthy is fundamental to aging well and enjoying a long, happy life.
We partner with renowned sports clubs and local initiatives to encourage healthy lifestyles.
Through sponsorships and events, we promote good habits, such as physical activity, healthy eating and regular hydration amongst the community, and within our own Care Homes.
Creating positive impact for all
Our commitment to do good extends to local businesses and job creation.
We source as many local products and services for our care homes as we can.
We aim to employ, train and retain staff from the nearby communities.
By doing this, we prioritise giving back to those around us, contributing to their growth, and benefiting the wider community.
