Ascot Care renews Armed Forces commitment on Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by servicemen and women, and we are proud to honour that legacy within Ascot Care, by renewing our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces.

That is why we are thrilled to announce that Ascot Care has successfully revalidated its Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award. Originally awarded to us in 2019, this revalidation extends our Gold status for a further five years, reaffirming our dedication to veterans, reservists, and military families.

Granted by the Ministry of Defence (MOD, the ERS Gold Award is the highest accolade in the MOD’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising employers who go above and beyond in demonstrating advocacy for the armed forces community by actively supporting recruitment and retention of veterans, reservists, and their families, as well as creating a supportive workplace environment that values their unique skills and experience.

At Ascot Care, many residents and members of our team are veterans or reservists, and our commitment to upholding the standards of the ERS Gold Award is a testament to our deep appreciation for the significant contributions they bring to our community, and to our whole team’s efforts to build a workplace that values service, experience, and loyalty.

We hope that by leading the way in supporting the armed forces community, we inspire other employers in the care sector to recognise the value and contributions of military personnel, and encourage them to support and champion those who serve.
