Reflecting on a year of progress: Our first-ever Impact Report

At Ascot Care, we are proud to share our first-ever Impact Report, a comprehensive look at the progress we’ve made throughout 2024, a year of growth, innovation, and deeper community connections as we continue our mission to provide high-quality care across the North East.

As a provider of residential, specialist, and home care services, we are always striving to enhance the lives of our residents and staff, and our report highlights key milestones, including investments in technology, expanding our team, and new initiatives that have strengthened our role in the wider community.

Michelle Lovelace, Head of Operations, reflected on the year’s progress:

"The launch of our Impact Report is a testament to the incredible strides we’ve made in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. 2024 has been a year of transformation; growing our team, integrating new technologies, and building meaningful community partnerships. As we move into 2025, we are excited to build on this momentum, driving innovation and making an even greater difference in the lives of our residents, staff, and local communities."

One of our proudest achievements in 2024 was the growth of our Head Office team. With new specialists in key areas such as quality assurance, training, communications, and digital transformation, we have strengthened the support behind our frontline staff. These additions have enhanced our ability to provide outstanding care, improve staff development opportunities, and implement new ways of working.

2024 saw major advancements in our use of care-enabling technology. We introduced new digital systems to improve the way we manage care, ensuring efficiency without compromising on the human touch that defines our approach. Additionally, we helped test an AI-powered video chat to help reduce social isolation among residents—one of the many ways we are exploring technology’s role in improving wellbeing.

Beyond our care homes, we launched a new Community Engagement Strategy aimed at promoting mental wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, and local partnerships. Through charity collaborations, wellness initiatives, and events designed to foster social connections, we have deepened our impact into the communities we form part of.

We are also incredibly proud of our work in supporting ex-service personnel. This year, Langley House became the first care home in the North East to achieve accreditation under the Veteran Friendly Framework, demonstrating our dedication to tailored care for veterans. We also renewed our Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, reinforcing our commitment to those who have served in the Armed Forces.

Looking forward to 2025

With another successful year behind us, we are setting our sights on new opportunities. In 2025, we plan to expand our care services into new regions, introduce additional care placements, and invest further in staff development and innovative technologies. Our goal remains the same: to continue improving the lives of those we care for while making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Thank you to our residents, staff, families, and partners for being part of this journey. We look forward to another year of progress and innovation at Ascot Care!
