Update from Steve Gibson (Head of Care & Development)

Dear Family’s, Relatives and Friends,

It is fair to say that 2021 has not started the way any of us would have wished it to, with the restrictions that we all find ourselves continuing to live with.

We understand how difficult the past few months have been for you all, without the opportunity to visit your loved one without the freedom, flexibility and frequency that you have previously been accustomed to.

We greatly appreciate your continued patience and your support for the teams who continue to work incredibly hard within each of our homes.

Unfortunately, this latest national lockdown has, once again enforced restrictions upon us with respect to visiting. I know that you all appreciate that we must observe national and local guidance at all times, especially with the new, more transmissible strains ofCOVID-19 becoming more widespread. Despite the lockdown, we are pleased to report some positive news on our progress with the COVID-19 vaccination programme, with a very high percentage of Residents and Staff having now received their first dose of the vaccine. With the numbers increasing as the  rollout continues, this provides us all with much optimism for the future. With the potential of the vaccine to help to keep our Residents and Team Members protected and as safe as possible, this ray of light, is giving a positive feeling about the future and a return to something approaching normality again soon.

In the meantime, we will continue to work hard to support all of our Residents and frontline staff to keep everybody as safe as we possibly can. We would also like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication from all of our Team Members, who continue with steadfast determination to provide a positive experience for all of our Residents. We are so proud of each and every one of them. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding, as we look forward to being able to return to some form of normality soon.
