Using RITA At St Anne's

Residents and staff at St Anne’s Care Home in Whitley Bay have been using the ‘RITA’ system, which stands for Reminiscence Interactive Therapy Activities, which calms elderly people with cognitive impairments.

The interactive touch screen system allows patients to enjoy relaxation music, watch archive BBC news footage, view old photographs and listen to famous speeches, to help spark memories and start conversations.
