Ascot Care is delighted to announce our sponsorship of Michael Young’s Testimonial Year, celebrating his outstanding rugby career and contributions to the North East community.

Michael Young, a Hartlepool native, has had an illustrious rugby career, making over 200 appearances for Newcastle Falcons and playing for top clubs such as Leicester Tigers, Bath, Gloucester, and Toulon.

His testimonial year will feature exciting events, including a dinner with football legend Alan Shearer, a pre-Lions dinner with some of the greatest British and Irish Lions of all times, and a unique golf day. These events aim to bring together the local community and celebrate Michael’s remarkable career and dedication to rugby.

As a local care provider, we are honoured to support this year-long series of events that recognise Michael's achievements on the field and his commitment to causes close to our hearts.

We are particularly proud to support Michael's chosen charities, My Name’5 Doddie and the Alan Shearer Foundation. Both organisations have strong connections to the North East and align with Ascot Care’s values of compassion and community support.

My Name’5 Doddie is dedicated to raising funds for research into motor neurone disease, while the Alan Shearer Foundation provides vital services for people with disabilities.
